People, this is BEGINNERS ON ENTERLAC not knitting for beginners! Do NOT misunderstand the title. (:I'm 19 and people say I'm a granny cos I knit. But grannys prolly knit way faster than I do (like the lady in the video). LOL, I was like O.O. I wanna know how she starts it off tho ;/

How are people expecting knitting basics with a special technique how-to? I however know my basics and DID understand this :) Thank you SO much for putting this online. I saw this pattern on tumblr today and I couldn't get it out of my head. I tried searching for written patterns online, but they were all kind of hard to understand. I couldn't grasp how the squares could change directions! Then I found this, by simply googling 'entrelac'... Lucky me! And I guess I'm the visual type, after all :)

I am not an expert, but what I believe this to be is that you do knit 1, yarn over, knit 1, yarn over, knit 1, pearl 1. Hope this helps.

I've done Entrelac - this video is NO WAY the beginning. There's a starting base, the area she is knitting, and the half diamond shapes on the sides - each with its own directions. One thing she points out that's very important though is reaching into the 'corner' for the last of the 6 stitches or you'll have a hole in your work. I agonized learning this pattern but by piecing various instructions together I finally got it. Watch videos and read instructions! Good luck if you try it!

Your explanation is very clear, but when one doesn't know how to do it, one expects to see the BEGINNING of the work. Is it possible for you to put a extension of the video but for BEGINNERS please? Otherwise you have to remove the word BEGINNER from the title. thanks
